Five miles down the road, Stumpy Meadows Reservoir waits with glassy water and some of the best fishing, paddle boarding, and kayaking around. If you prefer dust and adrenaline, Rock Creek’s OHV staging area is a quick 4-mile ride from your front door. Got horses? The entrance to the Georgetown Divide Equestrian Trails is just five miles away. Of course, the American River and rafting is also only 30 minutes away. Every direction you look, the adventure is closer than you think.

It gets even better, think epic snow wheeling on the legendary Uncle Tom’s Cabin route. And if you’re after the big leagues, the world-famous Rubicon Trail is practically in your backyard.
